Course Description

The SEG Awards Level 3 Award in Small Animal First Aid has been launched in line with legislation requirements, ensuring that practitioners working alongside small animals meet industry standards and work in line with regulatory guidelines.

The course consists of the following learning outcomes:

Be able to understand key principles of small animal first aid;

Be able to categorise small animal emergencies;

Be able to recognise and manage small animal emergency situations;

Be able to apply first aid in small animal emergency situations

Be able to understand how health checks monitor and evaluate a small animal patients’ health status.

The course will be delivered over 1 day 9-4 at Temple Newsam.

Whilst there are catering facilities available at Temple Newsam it is advised to bring food and drink with you although Tea/Coffee will be provided.

Please note you are not permitted to bring your own dog to this course.

Joining instructions will be sent out via email 2 weeks prior to the course starting.
