Harrogate College welcomes you to come and work with our high spec resources in our amazing photography studios.

Course Description

Our 6-week Digital Photography programmes are designed to work with people from every skill level, from novice, through to specialist and will give you the opportunity to build on skills or learn entirely new ones.

This course is ideal for people who are wanting to study, looking to upskill - or to just find something fun to do!

We offer beginner and more advanced programmes and they will include:

Beginner

• An introduction to cameras and equipment.

• Camera controls.

• Composition and different photography styles/genres.

• An introduction to editing software.

• How to take photography further.

• Tips for continuous improvement.

Intermediate

• Creative compositional techniques.

• Camera kits and recommended equipment.

• Photography styles and genres.

• Creative lighting techniques.

• More in depth use of editing software.

• Creating a portfolio and tips for continuous improvement.

Our photography courses are starting in March 2025 and will run on a Tuesday evening, from 6.00pm until 9.00pm, with a set price for a 6-week learning block.
