This 10 week course runs on a Thursday evening from 6-8:30pm at Quarry Hill Campus in Leeds city centre.

Course Description

Designed for beginners and for those who would like to develop existing skills, this course is an introduction to water- based painting, exploring watercolour, gouache and acrylic painting.

A series of painting workshops will be structured around the themes of landscape, architecture, still life, the figure and abstraction. There will be a focus on experimentation, which aims to develop confidence and creativity and to encourage a personal approach to painting.

Alongside practical demonstrations, which will explore a wide range of painting methods and materials, the tutor will also provide an introduction to a variety of artists.

Tutor Clare Booker has exhibited widely and works in a variety of painting media, collage and experimental film.
